How to Help Others Grow and Mature (Part 2)

God’s Part and Our Part in Helping Others Grow
1 Corinthians 3:4-9

Principle #1: God is working in individuals to grow, change, and mature them (Phil 1:6; Phil 2:13).
 God uses:

– The Holy Spirit (Eph 1:13-14; John 16)
– The Word of God (1 Thes 2:13; 1 Peter 2:1-3)
– Everyday life (James 1:2-5; Romans 8:28)
– People (Hebrews 3:13; 10:24-25; 1 Cor 3:6)

Principle #2: God uses people to help others to grow (6-9; Heb 3:13; Hebrews 10:20-23;).

Practical Tip #1: Join God’s work by investing time in people. 

Principle #3: Our responsibility is to plant & water and leave the results to God (1 Cor 3:7).
 

Practical Tip #2: Use questions to challenge thinking
Practical Tip #3: Share truth
Practical tip #4: Encourage Growth

Principle #4: God rewards each person according to their labor (1 Cor 3:8).

Practical tip #5: Don’t get overly discouraged or prideful (It is God that causes the Growth).
 

Join God’s work by investing time in people and let God use you to Grow others.
